Fire Engine Donated by Portland Fire & Rescue

It is with great pleasure that I get to share with you the communities newest fire engine. The new E33 was donated by Portland Fire & Rescue. This 1998 American LaFrance was formally Engine 25 in Portland. In December PF&R reached out to the Sauvie Island Fire District wishing to donate this engine to our community. On March 2, the fire district conducted a “push-in” ceremony, putting the engine in service as our front line fire engine. This engine has more capability than our older front line fire engine with more storage and more pumping capacity. We wish to extend our extreme gratitude to Portland Fire & Rescue for donating such a wonderful and needed piece of equipment to our community. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful neighbors.
